If you needed to get away from your life for a short period of time (less than a week - 5 days at most) like Holden does in "Catcher in the Rye", where would you go? Would you escape to the country (somewhere other than Newcastle or Orono) or would you venture to a big city? Be realistic: it needs to be somewhere you can drive, take a bus or train to, and it shouldn't involve more than several hundred dollars.In your response, outline the sorts of things in your life that you would feel like 'escaping', reasons why, as well as what you think such a trip would do for you. If i needed to get away which is a common thing i would go somewhere peaceful. This could be many places like the lake or a cottage. I would like to be away from city and people somewhere you could get lost in your own thoughts and forget about all the troubles back home. This place would have to be stress free. I would choose somewhere like a cottage because something about nature that relaxes me. I would also be able to drive there and could just turn my cell off and ignore everyone. This would be my ideal place to go to escape.
